Vagelis Giannisis is the author of twelve crime novels, as well as a screenwriter and translator, with more than seventy translated books to his name. His work has been studied as part of the European union’s DETECt research programme. In 2024, he was selected to represent Eleusis with a short story in the anthology ULYSSES: European Odyssey. In 2023, he was named Translator of the Year by Elniplex. His crime television series The Net, written by Giannisis and directed by Manousos Manousakis, aired for two seasons in Greece.
