Melak, All Alone

A book that tells the story of a young boy who is forced to flea his country in search of safety, alone with his younger sister and no adult to accompany them. A story about the great voyage towards the unknown, but also about friendship, solidarity and hope.

Argyro Pipini has written a story which contains many stories – it seems simple, maybe because it remains unchangeable through time – and Achilleas Razis gave it the vibrant colours and the shape that befit it. A story about the children who are still being uprooted, who are scared, but also about those children who, through play, friendship, schooling, acceptance and support, can cope with anything – and can change everything. Even their own “unchangeable” story.
