Marina Gioti is an author and illustrator of 12 picture books with combined sales of over 80.000 copies. She studied Marketing and Fine Arts at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and Communication Design at Pratt Institute in New York. She was the 1999 recipient of the John Peter’s Publication Award and Scholarship from the N.Y. Art Directors Club and has earned a Bronze Pentaward for her work in design. She is a regular contributor to several popular magazines and websites in Greece and is a member of the Greek Section of IBBY. She regularly gives presentations in Greece and abroad. Her most recent book Yeti – The Power of Yet was the winner of Public Book Award for Best Children’s Book 2021 and sold 13.000 copies in the first 9 months of publication.
