Kostas Kaltsas

A biologist by training and a former bookseller by profession, Kostas Kaltsas completed a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Southampton, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, with Victorious Dust as his thesis. He has previously published – as ‘Haldon Lockly’ – an experimental chapbook novelette (Postlude) with the Athenian micropress Pilotless Press. His essays and reviews have appeared in academic journals and volumes, and he reviews academic volumes for Orbit: A Journal of American Literature, for which he has also served as a peer reviewer. His writings in Greek have appeared in various literary magazines, and as forewords to the Greek editions of works by writers such as Rachel Cusk (Outline) and William Gass (Cartesian Sonata, forthcoming). He works as a literary translator (English to Greek and Greek to English). Previous translations into Greek include Jonathan Lethem’s Motherless Brooklyn. He is currently translating David Foster Wallace’s Infinite Jest.
