Avgi Daferera

Avgi Daferera was born in South Africa and raised in Greece. She studied English Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and holds an MA in Writing from the University of Warwick, UK, and an MA in Literary Translation from the University of East Anglia, UK. Apart from Greece and the UK Avgi has also lived in Spain and Belgium. She was the Greek mentee during the first year of the British Centre for Literary Translation Mentorship Programme in 2012. Her translation work includes various children's books, as well as publications in print and online magazines. She joined the Ersilia team in 2015.
